Boomer couldn't even wait for David to shut the gate
before he started grazing.
The sight of something new and different turned Paj to stone
but he quickly got down to grazing.

Technical Details
A couple of people have asked about the fencing materials. The posts are 8', with 3' set in concrete. We used 5 strands of Centaur white lightning (click here), an electric wire fencing that is coated for safety and visibility. Ours is solar powered. We chose not to electrify the bottom strand so that Mr. Coyote and the other wildlife can still wander the countryside.

Well -It didn`t take them long to settle down and make themselves at home - did it ? Paj is looking in fine fettle with his summer coat,bet all your horses are enjoying the fresh air and some new pasture yum !
They probably think that they have Heaven on Earth. Or, being horses, they just wonder how come it took you so long to supply them with as much grass as they desire. It's beautiful fencing, and practical, too. Good of you not to electrify the bottom strand for the sake of the wildlife.
Paj is probably thinking "Wha..?" Some animals don't like change do they? I see Boomer dug right in! :-)
No pasture left here, just burned up everything. How nice to see lovely green!
Asked my neighbor about getting two big round bales from him. He has none. He said the pasture they usually get 50 round bales, they got 6 this year. I have a feeling hay is going to be hard to come by and its gonna be high!

Oh the expanse of the pastures! So good to see. We only have that viewplain if we go to the beach......very hilly and twisting terrain here.
