Dr. Gary, technician Kyle, Big Ben and David
Boomer just had some small points. Ben had a surprise for us...he still had his wolf teeth! Most horses don't have wolf teeth, and those that do usually shed them by age 3. Ben's were none too comfortable for him, so after a pain killer/tranquillizer, Dr. Gary quickly extracted them. If you're squeamish, don't scroll down...

Ben will be getting a visit from the tooth fairy, and some extra tlc.
He's eating like a horse tonight, so we know he's fine.

Oh, my guys are jealous. The tooth fairy never came to visit then!
I was right... they are gentle giants, right?!
Strange extra teeth! I never heard of them before! Must have left a couple of holes. huh? My gums are throbbing in sympathy. Such good horses!
Ouch!! Our horse dentist is moving to the USA soon,so I don't know how we are going to get one from the Johannesburg area to travel 500 + km here to do our horses!!!
Getting those wolf teeth out will make him much more comfortable.
Such good boys! I'm glad that Ben got those wolf teeth out. He'll be much more comfortable without them. And, he will, of course, eat up the pampering he will get while he heals. Did he get a nice mash last night?
Well Ben certainly earned his extra treats! OUCH...
Can`t believe how well behaved Boomer was- getting his teeth rasped-that`s amazing !Give him an extra pat and cuddle from me please-Ben too !! x
OK..next time I'll listen...no scrolling down when I'm told!
Glad Ben got those pesky wolf teeth out. I bet he was pleasantly surprised when he ate his dinner.
I didn't know horses had tooth fairies too! But of course, why not!
What will Ben be getting from the tooth fairy?? :)
Does Dr. Gary see patients in the Parker area? I will need to find a new equine veterinarian since we have moved a bit too far for our other. If you think he'd work with us, I'd love to have his contact info. I know you think very highly of him.
You could send me contact info at iteach at cpride dot net.
Thanks,
Cyndi
