At last! A flower!!! The wildflowers are too well adapted to stick their heads up for another month or so, but we have daffodils! These little guys are only about 6" tall but they sure are pretty.
Thirteen-stripped ground squirrels are cavorting on our lawn, drawing the coyotes ever closer. We had this handsome fellow in our back yard today -
It looks like he made it through winter in fine form.
Finally! You get your turn...soon I'll be whining about the heat and humidity while you're enjoying spring blossoms and breezes. :) Ain't America wonderful?
Dreaming and Louise, he made a quick pounce, had a quick chew and left, so he got something! He looks quite heavy - I am starting to wonder if he is really a mother-to-be!
Terry, Thanks for stopping by my blog. How interesting that our Aspens are ahead of yours. We are at 7400 feet! Well, now that I look at them more critically, only those closest to the house (like w/i 15 feet) have catkins. Maybe the house, which blocks the north wind, and our air handler make it a warmer microclimate.
I love daffodils and I'm glad spring is coming your way too. It is gorgeous here in the canyon today. I'm in and out, doing chores, reading blogs. I hope you enjoyed your day in be as much as I did mine. I feel so much better.--Inger
