It's Hard to Keep a Good Man Down

David is feeling pretty darn good.  It's hard to keep him resting instead of working.  Neighbor Chuck called this morning to ask us to keep an eye out for a hubcap off his truck.  He thought he lost it on the lane.  So off David went on Boomer, the best 18.2 hand trail horse ever, in search of the hubcap.

They found it!  I am pronouncing David fit for light duty.  Boomer's feathers are still white and fluffy, even after our little snow storm.

David and Boomer....what a great combination. That horse looks spotless. Can't think of a better way to go look for a hubcap.

Go Boomer! and David! Glad your honeyman is feeling better. Mercy me do you use a ladder to get on Boomer? I assume by feathers you mean the white fur on Boomers ankles and feet?

Boomer is just simply AWESOME!

David looks great up on Boomer! Glad he found the hubcap, I bet he was happy to find it too! I am wondering the same thing as Janet, how on earth did he scramble back up on the very tall, and very regal Boomer?

He has such pretty feet -- Boomer that is. I'm glad David is feeling better. My hubby went to LA to take care of some business and also see his own doctor. Hoping for the best. Oh, your views are sooo stunning, I would be at my window every morning too.--Inger

Boomer is beautiful. He is shining and his feathers are incredible!!! I bet David is happy that you have pronounced him 'fit for light duty'. If he's anything like my guy, he doesn't do well with restrictions!

Boomer is GORGEOUS! Definitely one of the best conformed/looking Clydesdale I've ever seen. & I've always wanted a HUGE one just to trail ride and have around. It would be so fun to have something so big and gorgeous and elegant.

Boomer is such a pretty horse! I always wanted a draft myself. I think that all of us find it hard to stay out of the saddle!

Thanks for following my A to Z adventures and for remembering my husband. He is in Los Angeles right now being checked out by doctors. I hope your hubby continues to do well.--Inger

Seriously, I wondered the same thing when I saw that picture of David on Boomer. They look wonderful together, and I'm not surprised that Boomer makes a wonderful trail horse, and that they found the hubcap. But, my first thought was also, how in the world did he remount once he got down to pick up the hubcap? I had this momentary image of Boomer reaching down and picking it up in his mouth to carry it home, then thought, nah, even a Clyde wouldn't do that!
