Product Review - Bootcut Breeches

David gave me a pair of Kerrit's bootcut breeches, and I love them!  I'm not comfortable doing more than trail riding in jeans, and I'm not comfortable stall cleaning in full seat breeches.  Now I'm comfortable doing both in the same pants!  I'm a happy camper.

Full seat breech from Equissentials website

Equissentials used to be my favorite.  If I was going to take a lesson, I'd still wear these.  But for all day barn comfort and multi-tasking?  Give me the bootcut breech any day of the week.  Biggest pluses - comfort and price (on sale at Murdoch's for $59.25).  Only minus - no pockets.  They come in both full seat and knee patch styles.  My rating?  9.99 out of 10 (pocket penalty).

Those are some good looking breeches! Sounds like they do their job great as well! I agree would have had to give a tiny deduction on no pockets as well LOL. Running and biking leggings have the same deduction, no pockets! LOL

I love anything from the Kerrits company! Most of the breeches I ride in are Kerrits brand and I love them all. I haven't tried the kind you have, but I really like the bootcut type. They're so versatile and I feel like I can stop at the grocery store after riding and not feel completely out of place. :)

Never thought of this! They look very comfortable....maybe even for gardening?! Do men wear these? Who'd know around here anyway!!lol

Geez, there's even wedding gowns with pockets! Why can't we have pockets, lol.

Becca, they feel like yoga pants, and they look better than my jeans. Can't beat that!

Jim, men who ride English (jumping, dressage, eventing, etc.)usually wear breeches, and they are required for showing. My neighbor Chuck rides Western, and he wears breeches, but he's an exception. Almost all cowboy type guys wear jeans.

They look really awesome :) Just the kinda thing I'm looking for at the moment.

You'd love them. Since we have opposite seasons I should tell you that they are more summer weight than winter weight.

I love my Kerrits cargo tights! They're not bootcut, but they do have surprisingly useful side pockets.

Side pockets! I will look into cargo tights! Another first for me.

I freaking LOVE these breeches. I bought a pair and will never go back. I don't have the full seats, but I'm lounging in them as we speak!!!

Down girl, down!

Me too, Dom. I'm going to ask for the full seat for Horse Mother's Day, May 13.

Great find those bootcut pants, huh!!!
I have some of the first bootcut pants Kerrits came out with. They are a " thicker" ribbed material...after 3 years of extreme trail rides, they are still going strong for me. I miss my " cargo pocket breaches" by Kerrits. But Read Funder's comment....yea, maybe they are back, by popular demands!

My sister scoffed at them saying they look saddle seat-ish. Oh well, more bootcut pants- for me and you!

Thanks how the sincere words at my place, on me coming round to post something finally! What I dis not include about my otherreasons for blogging distance- was the fact my PBO took total offense to me posting about my mare getting hurt. Took it personal and yelled at me. I thought to go private blog, but decided to keep at mine, the way it is. It's NOT about them, its about my mare, my life ! I do have a private blog I vent on already!

I have a question...the reply mode to comments here...is it the new "interface" Blogger offers at the top of the page as I sign in? I like it.
Thanks Terry!
