You all know I love Dr. Gary, the best horse vet/friend in the world. But did you know we have the best small animal vet too? Dr. Roberta is a vet that can't say no to an animal in need. Some time ago, someone brought in this baby squirrel. Dr. Roberta took him in and fed him goat milk every 3 hours. Now Squirrel is a big boy, and he's taken over her office. And her life.
Squirrel will eventually move to a squirrel halfway house, and then be released. It will be a while because winter has begun here. It snowed all day, and tonight's low will be 14 degrees.

I love it when vets are just as compassionate to non-paying clients, all creatures great and small type vets :)
That little squirrel is a handfull ;)

LOL now how cute is that.. Good for that vet!
A friend of my hubby's had a pet squirrel. He was a Snap-On tool man and the squirrel traveled with him. The only complaint the guy had was that the squirrel would bury his food all over the truck cab... tucking away seeds and nuts in every possible niche!
I actually enjoyed our snow today... knowing that it will be sunny and much warmer the rest of the week makes it a little easier to take!
14 degrees!
Your small animal vet is very special and Squirrel is very lucky.
That squirrel is something else, wish I could move so well!
That's cold already, and snow! Ooh!
Oh my goodness ... how precious!
That video of the squirrel at the end is great. It is soooo squirrel!
awww, very cute!
Feeding him every 3 hours must have been hard work, especailly during the nights.
oh he is a complete delight!
absolutely wonderful
A good vet is a treasure beyond compare and it looks to me like you have found two! Squirrel is adorable, cute as a button, and into everything.
Can make a huge difference when we 'find' good people like these, eh? Squirrel may never want to leave! I know I wouldn't! lol
She is a gem! it's wonderful when vets try to help all living creatures, regardless of their size, and whether they belong to anyone.
cute little squirrel, I love watching their antics :-)
Looks like tons of fun to have that little critter around. I have a "resident" squirrel in my yard. He goes about his business gathering walnuts and stuff and both my cat and dog, don't even hardly glance at it. I guess they have some sort of agreement or someting. Silly creatures...
If I found a pet squirrel, I don't think I could release it. Squirrel is so adorable and FAST.
