The Big Bad Wolf?

Here's Ole Roy.

I took this photo out our bedroom window.

Yep, we like Ole Roy and all his coyote friends.  They're part of our ranch and they keep the mouse population down.  Do we trust him?  Nope, not one little bit.  Our cats are house cats, and we keep Mickey by our side at all times.

We are expecting a few inches of snow and high winds tonight, but it shouldn't be a bad storm.  I'm thinking of all our east coast friends and hoping all are safe and warm.

Ole Roy looks very healthy...even kind. It's 10 degrees here tonight and we got about 14 inches of snow by this morning. CRAZY weather. How about Boston!!!!

Great pic, Terry! I love coyotes. I have seen a few in the wild (followed one pair to their den), and I am always impressed. They are nothing like their skinny, mangy reputation, but are handsome, intelligent canines. I especially like hearing them howl when I'm out doing astronomy in the desert and sometimes yodel back to them. Love, your brother Joe

Ole Roy is too cute! There are coyotes around our place, but I rarely see them. They sometimes wake me up at night yipping. So was Ole Roy the guilty party who tore up your tube? Great photo!

Oh my... he is handsome. Do you have other named Coyotes?
The other night I thought I was back home. We were camping in a park in Georgia and a pack of coyotes began howling around 2 AM.

I love our coyotes too, to hear them yip and yap makes me feel like I live in a wild place. Which in a way I do.

Ole' Roy it's handsome, for his kind.
He's very fear less, being neat your home. Yes, keep your beloved small animals inside!

Hope the sun is out even if it's cold! Hang in!

I have never seen a coyote in real life, I am surprised he came so close to the house. We have to be wise with the foxes and our chickens, but ole Roy would be a bigger challenge! Have a good weekend!

Superb coyote portrait, Terry! I have always loved these wild fellows. I showed the pics to a couple of friends, who also were impressed. Love, Joe B.

Nice photo! I will have to show mountain man as he documents/films/counts coyotes ~ here in New England. He would love to see Ole Roy :) Thanks for thinking of us here in the East. We have gotten our fair share of snow for sure!
