He's B-a-c-k!

Look who's back!
It's Jan's horse, our old buddy Zan.  He's here to over-winter with us.
Paj is so happy to have his old friend back.

We are enjoying a week of warm weather.  It was 60 degrees today!  We are so lucky.  A year ago it was -13F.

60? Oh, my, how nice!

Zan is beautiful! Good the horses have companions, our neighbor's horse, Piper, is all alone, I think she is lonely - comes to the fence when Jill is outside playing.

We will be lucky to hit 20. How nice that Paj has his pal back.

I notice Zan doesn't need a blankie. Is Paj not embarrassed to be such a hothouse flower he needs a blankie at 60 degrees? Zan must be some kind of good friend to not tease him.

Oh ha ha, Flartus! Paj is indeed a hothouse flower, but in his defense, that photo was taken first thing in the morning, and our lows are in the 20s or 30s. Zan is a fuzzy bear, but he gets a night blankie too! ;)

Zan's face is quite striking! Those markings are very interesting. I wish we had 60 degrees today... we've been way too cold here!

Neat, I love it when horses can be reunited!
And aren't you lucky...60 degrees, whoa! We've got a nice reprieve from 30...but the moist rains, in the 50's are moulding me!
