A Change in the Weather

We've had the nicest December I ever remember here in Colorado. It's been in the 50s, and very close to 60. But as we walked to the barn this morning, it was clear that we're in for a change.

The forecast is for a high of 29 tomorrow with snow and patchy freezing drizzle.  Total snow accumulation is expected to be 4 to 8 inches.  Friday's forecast calls for a high of 15 and a low of -2.  Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 35 mph means the wind chill will be around 20 below zero.
The boys will be staying inside the barn.

We've had a change in the weather too here in Nova Scotia. It's winter for keeps now and will probably stay this way till May!!!! ouch!
Happy New Year Terry!

What perfect timing... we're supposed to be warming up here in NC and I'm expecting mid 60's and sun for Saturday. Seems the universe has decided to right its wrongs. :)

Stay warm!!

Ohhhh, you're going to get some real winter! Lucky you! We're going to get all mushy and soggy, with the temperature in the low '50's by Saturday. Yick. Give me a good blizzard, with me safe and warm inside, any day.

Hi Terry, you may be getting what I have right now: it rained, it stormed, it hailed, now it is snowing, sleeting, and hailing and all of it going sideways due to the high wind. It will be in the high teens, low 20s here at night I think beginning tomorrow. We have had unseasonably warm weather too, but now winter may be on its way.

Hi
hope you stay warm & bundled up. What part of Colo are you located? We moved to SWFL from Colo Spgs 4 yrs ago...so done with the cold, but I sure miss those beautiful Rocky Mtns...

Cindi, we're near Elizabeth, at 6,800' elevation. Florida sounds nice right about now...

Oh, brrrrr! But you know, it just wouldn't be right if you didn't get some ridiculously cold weather. How are you supposed to know it's winter without a little frostbite?

Good luck keeping everyone warm! Give the boys a little warm mash for me (or at least a muzzle nuzzle). :)
