Barn Roof Take 2

Things are looking up. The roofing crew showed up (yay!) late (boo!) and were able to work for 3 hours before it snowed.

They got about a quarter of the barn done, and they did a good job.  They are replacing the roof one section at a time, so nothing is exposed to the elements.  They may work on Sunday, or they may have said that to appease us.  Regardless, Monday should be a good day, so maybe they'll finish Monday.  Meanwhile, the horses are doing fine at Chuck and Elyssa's.  Chuck and Elyssa are very good to us, and we are so grateful to have them as neighbors and friends.

Oh good--glad to know all the moving and prep was not in vain! It'll be so worth it to know the horses are well-protected this winter.

You could almost count on them being late, at least they got some work done before it snowed!

Yep, good to have neighbors and friends that can help in a pinch!

GGGorgeous "stable'...that is A STEP UP from a barn(in my book)!

The berries in that one shot..I randomly took, as the day was so very bland and Grey...they lended to some color. I will look into it later, when we actually get home.(sneaking a peek at the blog while my man snoozes on behind me!)
Glad for fabulous friends and also- that the fun begins soon....stable decorating!

I'm glad they got some work done at least. And I know too how great it is to have good neighbors when you live in the country.--Inger

That barn is so beautiful! I know you'll be glad to have the horses back, but at least they're perfectly safe where they are.

Yay, progress! I'm glad to hear they'll have it done here shortly. Then you can bring your babies home!

Uggg, what a job. All that mucking out and dumping. I'm glad that they finally showed up, and got some work done. Hope that the rest gets done easily and quickly.

You commented on my green grass (you have snow!). That is one of the benefits of living very close to a Great Lake. This time of year, it protects us, somewhat, from the harsher weather. Of course, come real Winter, we get "Lake Effected." That's another way of saying that the Winter wind, blowing over the warmer waters of the lake, picks up lots of moisture, which it dumps in the form of snow, as soon as it hits the shore.
