Spring Awakening

It's been a long time.  I didn't mean to quit blogging.  Life got a bit overwhelming, and I took a break.  It turned into a really long break.  I want to thank all who so kindly asked after me.  Thank you Sonia, Calm, Straight, Forward, John, Karen, Fundy, Kay G, Inger, Isobelle, Sue, Becky and of course  Jim and Ron.  My apologies to all my blogging friends for dropping off the face of the earth.

We are doing okay.  The horses are enjoying perfect horsey days;  warmer weather, greener grass and no flies.  Yet.

 You're next, buddy.
I promise.

On the Loom

Weaving has become my go-to activity for relaxation.  I'm addicted.  There's something so satisfying in making order out of chaos.  Right now I'm working on a baby blanket.

the reed is sleyed
(chaos!)

 the heddles are threaded
(order!)

 and the weaving has started.
ahhh.

How wonderful to hear from you again. I was worried! The pictures of your weaving bring back happy memories of my mother. She was very involved with it for many years.

*smile* Nice to see a post. :D

I know what you mean about blogging. It seems I haven't been able to keep regular posting habits ever since I had to put my sweet old dog to sleep, which was a while ago. Sometimes real life takes precedence...

Pretty blanket!

I'm glad to see you back!

Weaving looks complicated but extremely cool! I look forward to more posts about it.

The horses look gorgeous and I hope you're well too!

Welcome back to Blogland! Glad to see the horse boys are happy and healthy. I have to say, I have no idea what it means to "sley a reed," but I do love those colors you're using. :)

Happy weaving!

Oh Terry, if I lived near you I surely would be your attendee and want to learn. I can remember as a teen visiting my friend's house to see a loom in one of the room and I was so intrigued.
I would love to learn. Your work is truly amazing.
Thanks for returning and show us more please!

Like Dreaming said, your weaving works bring back lovely memories of my mother too. As you know she was a talented weaver too.
It's great that the horses are enjoying nice days.

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog, it make me feel very happy!
Lots of hugs!
