In Mickey's mind, he's the youthful Ranch Manager, responsible for all things Moondance. In reality, he's an older dog who should stay in the nice warm house on these cold mornings. We've reached a compromise. He's coming to the barn to supervise chores, but he's wearing his blanket just like the horses do. And he's learned "mat", which means get-on-your-mat-and-warm-up.
He's plugged in.
But Mickey, I'm telling you, when it gets really cold this winter,
you're staying in the house.
"Yeah, right."

Looks cold out there, but Mickey looks pretty happy!
I love your new header and boy it does look cold ....the dog has the right idea for sure. Blankets and electric blankets are a good mix!
What a great solution!
That is too cute. Cairo would love one of those for chilly barn days.
That is really sweet, so thoughtful. He won't miss a thing now!

Oh be still my heart! I love sweet Mickey...he is so Mickeylicious! What a great solution! We have been battling that same dilemma for years with the doggies wanting to be part of the fun but getting too cold to just sit around. I love his puppy blankie! Please give everyone (ponies and puppy) a carrot from us! xoxo!
That is so adorable! And good boy Mickey for learning a new command.
His own heated mat!! Way to go Mickey!!
It is that cold there? Ouch!
We are bracing for the side-effects of Hurricane Sandy.....wind and rain.
Good luck with that staying in the house thing :O). That mat is great for him I know! I wonder if you could put some pockets in his coat that you could slide those warmer things in that are air activated? I can't think of the name now but you open the package and the air activates them. Humans put them in their socks and gloves and such? They come in all sizes? Then even when he wasn't on his mat he would be getting warm from those while in the barn?
What a wonderful idea! I am sure Mickey really appreciates that mat. What a little cutie, he is.
Wonder if that sweet dog would scoot over and little a share that warm mat with a cold Georgia Girl?
BRRRR, it was in the 80's on Friday and tonight (Monday) it will be in the 40's!
What a lucky dog. He looks very happy :)!!
