We're Getting There!
Ben's blood work has improved in the week he's been home. The GGT (gamma glutamyl transferase) value is still elevated, but it's come down significantly. Everything else is in the normal range. This is really good news. Dr. Gary wants Ben to stay on his high carb diet of hay, corn, oats, brown sugar and Red Cell for the time being. Ben says Yum!

That's great! I hope he continues to improve!
Tell Ben I envy him his high-carb diet, and I'll be happy to join him in a show of support!
Ben looks gorgeous, and you are doing a great job with him. What a special boy.
I can't imagine Ben complaining about his invalid food!
Ben's going to be quite the chubby boy by the time this is done. Seriously, I'm glad that he is continuing to do so well.
Ah, Pippin here... can I come stay at your house and will your mom prepare some of that good food for me? I think I'd especially like to try the brown sugar!
Excellent news....keep up the tender loving care...Im sure Ben is loving his new diet !......Jayne
That is good news. Glad to hear it.
I'm so glad Ben is almost better :) It's great.
I'm sure Ben will burn off the excess carbs.....when he feels like it. Good news Terry!
Me again. That is a Butterfly bush and it was in Provincetown, Cape Cod. We have one here and have to keep it in a 'sheltered' spot....out of direct line of the winter winds to keep it alive. Good luck. They are beautiful though, eh?
